Remise Bukarest - Tape Jockey Session /w D.O.Kartmann

Eine der positiven Erscheinungen der Corona Zeit war für mich die Wiederentdeckung des Tapes als musikalisches Medium. Zusammen mit Daniel Vujanic produzierte ich für die Projekte und Bands Zebularin, Vukh und Portosol innerhalb 3 Jahren etwa 11 Tapes, die allesamt in kleinen Auflagen veröffentlicht wurden. Zur selben Zeit eröffneten sich neue Räume, mehr im privaten um Musik und Kunst erlebbar zu machen, unter intimeren Bedingungen. Etwa in der Remise Bukarest, einem Atelier, Probe - und Ausstellungsraum oberhalb meines Studios, oder im tearoom – einem subkulturellen Werkstattraum im Keller einer Bar im Stuttgarter Rotlichtviertel. Publikum und Kunstschaffende kamen sich paradoxerweise gerade in dieser Situation der Isolation näher, durch Klandestinität und subkulturelle, subversive Energie. Das Ergebnis war ein Tauschhandel mit Tapes, unter den sich begegnenden Künstlerinnen und Künstlern. Aus einigen der selbstproduzierten oder gesammelten Tape-Tracks besteht mein TJ-Set, aufgeführt am 16.10.2025 in der besagten Remise Bukarest. Ein Tape im Set ist nur geliehen von Niki Matita aus Berlin, die an diesem Abend auch zugegen war. Es ist der Track von Liane Hall.

One of the positive aspects of the corona period for me was the rediscovery of tape as a musical medium. Together with Daniel Vujanic (Zebularin, Vukh & Portosol), I produced around 11 tapes over a period of three years, all of which were released in small editions. At the same time, new spaces opened up, more in the private sphere, to experience music and art in more intimate conditions. For example, in the remise bukarest, a studio, rehearsal and exhibition space above my studio, or in the tearoom - a subcultural workshop space in the basement of a bar in Stuttgart’s red-light district. Paradoxically, it was precisely in this situation of isolation that audiences and artists grew closer, through clandestinity and subcultural, subversive energy. The result was a barter trade of tapes among the artists who met. My TJ set, performed on 16 October 2025 at the aforementioned Remise Bukarest, consists of some of the self-produced or collected tape tracks. One tape in the set is on loan from Niki Matita from Berlin, who was also present that evening. It is the track by Liane Hall.
